1st Annual Sonny Sixkiller Invitational
Sonny Sixkiller, actually Alex L. “Sonny” Sixkiller, is a former American Football Quarterback and current sports commentator for FSN Northwest.
Sonny was the starting Quarterback for the University of Washington Huskies in 1970 as a sophomore, leading the NCAA in passing. He also helped the Huskies to post consecutive 8-3 records in 1971 and 1972.
He played for The Hawaiians in 1975 until they folded and later tried out with the San Diego Chargers in 1976. If you are a movie fan you can also note that he was a cast member in the 1974 film The Longest Yard.

WSDA Food Safe Approved Ice!
For the better part of this year, behind the scenes and unbeknownst to all of our wonderful customers, we have been working hard to have our Ice Sculpting pass Washington State Department of Agriculture Food Safety Approval. That day has come! All of our ice now meets WSDA standards of food safety.
Which also means it is time to break out the Beer Mugs and Ice Cubes!

Monogram Ice Bars!
Did you know – Monograms first appeared on coins, as early as 350BC. The earliest known examples are of the names of Greek cities who issued the coins, often the first two letters of the city’s name. For example, the monogram of Achaea consisted of the letters alpha (Α) and chi (Χ) joined together.
Of course you don’t have to be Greek to appreciate the beauty of our Monogram Column Ice Bars!
The Kistler Prize
The Kistler Prize (created 1999) is awarded annually to recognize original contributions “to the understanding of the connection between human heredity and human society,” and includes a cash award of US $100,000 and a 200-gram gold medallion.
The prize is awarded by the Foundation For the Future, and is named after its benefactor, physicist and inventor Walter Kistler. The recipients have been:
